Teachings

Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
– Psalms 106:1 (KJV)

God listens to your prayers; none of your teardrops fall without Him knowing about it. So when God Almighty gives you instructions, it means He has already made the way for you.

Praise the Lord, for He is good and His mercy endures forever.

He has done so for me and He teaches me along the way, telling me who He is and how much He loves me.  God doesn’t yell at His children; He teaches with love, forgives mistakes, and patiently explains the lesson until you have learned it.

My God, God Almighty, is about love; He is Love.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

– John 3:16

Praise the Lord!

Stop Believing in Your Worthlessness

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

– Matthew 10:29-30 (KJV)

If God cares so much about sparrows, a living creature we deem to have very little worth, if the hairs on our head are numbered, why do we have doubts about our worth in His eyes?

Every now and then, we all wallow in self-pity, in self-deprecation, and we work at reinforcing our own belief of worthlessness.

The last time I went on such a tirade, I got chided, like one chides a child, for I did not see the obvious, for I doubted the simplest of principles: God’s Almightiness.

Who do you think you are to criticize God’s creation? God made you  with perfection. You are who He wants you to be. You are perfect in His eyes!

God did not make a mistake, your attributes He chose with care. God’s opinion of you is all that matters. It matters far more than the opinion of your family or your colleagues, your teachers or your neighbours, or even your own!

Why don’t you focus on seeing the truth about yourself? The truth is, you are neither a figure on the scale nor a grade on a report card; you are neither the hardship you had to deal with nor the privileges you take advantage of every day.

You are God’s child, a child whom He loves unconditionally, you are His creation. You are who you are meant to be; you are God Almighty’s beautiful and wonderful creation.

Don’t you forget it!

His Promise

” Listen to me carefully.

Stop running aimlessly in every direction, calm down and stand still, I have something important to say to you. You can count on one thing… my love for you. I love you!

Look around you, there is nothing to fear because I am here by your side… always, no matter what.

You are not alone.

You are one strong and beautiful soul, if only you were able to see all the beauty there is in you, you would stop feeling so worthless.

You need to heal; your pain will go away, trust me. I will be there to assist you with that, I will help you stand up again and then you and I will walk together, side by side.

Your days of rejection are over and you won’t be left behind. ”

When God is a Business

I browse the Internet every day,  and on at least four days out of seven, I research the self-publishing industry, writers’ associations and what not… just about anything related to the task of writing a novel and getting it published.

Needless to say, advice abounds. Everyone (whether individual or associations) has a blog, offers services, holds contests, etc. You name it, you will find it!

This whole thing has me shaking my head; this is all about money. God has become a commercial theme. What happened to wanting to spread stories about God’s love to our peers? What happened to telling stories that soothe the soul and the aching heart? What happened to telling stories about being made whole again through God’s love and blessings? What happened to reminding people that all they need is God, that He loves them? What happened to letting the Holy Spirit work through our words?

The process should be simple; there are too many people involved, too many steps to follow. Only the fittest will survive.

It saddens me to see that there is no room for the innocence of the soul, for the beauty of God’s love painted with words of truth, for the truth in its simplest expression. Publishing is done with a key, one you have to follow, one that gives you the only way to have it done because it has been set up that way.

Personally, I have no choice but letting this endeavor into God’s Hands because He knows (and I know all too well) that I cannot do a thing. I am in over my head. I stare at the finish line, contemplate where I am today, and all that comes to mind is “it will take nothing short of a miracle to get there”.

Thy will be done.

Thanksgiving

Thank you God for your Kindness toward your undeserving servant. Thank you for my good health, my two special and wonderful kids, to whom you gave such beautiful hearts and souls.

Thank you for watching over me while I was away from you, for keeping me safe and bringing to me the people I needed in my life, when I needed them. Thank you for giving them enough love in their hearts to bear with me when I could barely bear being in my own skin.

Thank you most of all for washing my sins away, for allowing me to feel your presence once more, for allowing me to come home.

AMEN.
